The island

This property is located in the Placencia Peninsula and is the most complete luxury beach resort. Placencia is a gorgeous emerald peninsula in southern Belize with 16 miles of sandy beaches. The Caribbean Sea is to the east and the charming Placencia lagoon lies to west looking to the mountains on the mainland. Placencia is essentially divided into two parts: south of the airstrip and north of the airstrip. The entire peninsula can be easily navigated on a beach cruiser bike. The busy part of Placencia lies in the south where the visitor will find the greater concentration of coffee shops, bistros, internet cafes, the harbour, guest houses, taxi and bus station, banks and local restaurants.

The resort

This gorgeous five star resort is one of the largest in Belize, is nestled on 23 Acres (9.31 Hectares) just north of the current airstrip and includes:

  • A five star 52 room hotel with 3 pools
  • Two waterfront restaurants and 2 hotel bars
  • A well-establish PADI 5 star dive shop and award winning tour business, with its own fleet of boats and staff
  • Two private islands with sleeping accommodations (one is owned, and the other is leased)

The resort has 52 rooms, ranging in size from the one bedroom ocean view to the Oceanfront Villa that sleeps six. Twenty rooms are owned by the resort and the remaining 32 bedrooms are part of the 20 unit condo development that was sold to guests over the last several years. All 52 rooms are managed by the resort’s management team.

The resort also has accommodations on two private islands and offers beautiful villas, restaurants, bars and staff quarters.

The resort operates two 150 seats restaurants located on the property. One is in front of the beach with spectacular ocean view and the other is located on the Placencia lagoon and serves guests, locals and boaters that dock at the marina.

The marina is located on the lagoon section, its craft capacity is 75 feet with a maximum of an 8 feet draft. The marina accommodates over 30 vessels and includes docks, boardwalks and full hook-ups including electricity, water and Wifi access.

In the picture we can see the property from the beach to the marina on the lagoon frontage. The marina section has condos already built on, where these are rented out and management stays with 40% of the income. There are various empty lots available to continue building condos.
